Thaki was selected into the 2020 Solver Class from a pool of over 2,600 applicants from 135 countries for our unique and innovative approach to the present and future of educating girls and women under the Learning for Girls & Women Challenge.

Thaki was selected among HundrED’s Global Collection of 100 of the brightest innovations in K12 education from around the world (2022).

Thaki was one of four awardees of the GM Prize on Learning for Girls & Women and Good Jobs & Inclusive Entrepreneurship, supported by General Motors under the MIT Solve submission. 

Thaki was one of three recipients of the Andan Prize for Innovation for Refugee Inclusion under the MIT Solve submission. The Andan Foundation aims to increase self-reliance of refugees by unleashing the human capital through education, entrepreneurship and employment.

Thaki founder, Rudayna Abdo, won the 2017 TEDxAmsterdamEd Award. The theme of the fifth edition of TEDxAmsterdamED was ‘From an Outside Perspective,’ aimed at finding solutions to the challenges of our time by taking a step back and viewing the system as a spectator, from another perspective.

The Atlas Network and Arab Liberty Festival rewards the work of civil society organizations active in the promotion of economic development, pluralism and democratic consolidation in different countries of the Arab world. Thaki received the award for our in the fight against the COVID 19 pandemic.

Thaki won the participants prize Impact Prize contest in 2020 held by Kiron to showcase people and organizations doing extraordinary things for displaced communities. The Impact Prize was part of the Virtual Refugee Conference.

In December 2020 Thaki founder, Rudayna Abdo, was recognized among seven changemakers to watch in 2021 who are moving people and planet towards better futures by the THNK School of Creative Leadership.

.ORG Impact Awards honors remarkable mission-driven organizations and individuals. Thaki was a finalist in the 2021 ‘Providing Quality Education for All’ category which recognizes an organization or individual for contributions in providing education and learning opportunities and solutions for everyone, without regard to race, gender, or financial status.

Thaki was a finalist in a strategic partnership application round with Team4Tech, a nonprofit impact accelerator bridging the digital equity gap in education to create inclusion and opportunities for under-resourced learners around the world.
